Pumpkin Patch

We had fun taking the kids to the pumpkin patch. We went to our usual place at Cypress Lake United Methodist Church. I love this time of the year. I heard on the news that we are expecting a cold front this week. Yeah! I can't wait to open sliders and enjoy the breeze!

We haven't carved our pumpkins yet. In Florida we find that we have to wait until the day or two before Halloween or else the pumpkins rot before the big night.

Instead of carving, Emily and I have an idea that we might try this year.

High School Musical 3

Today was a good day. We went to the Firestation with our homeschooling friends and then to lunch afterwards. I enjoyed a good political discussion with my like minded friends. Good times!

Tonight, the girls and I went to see High School Musical 3. We enjoyed it very much. Yes, it was a bit corny at times when they instantaneouly break into song, but still a very good story. I am usually not a movie crier, but this one had me in tears at the end. I can't believe Troy, Gabriella, Sharpay, Ryan and Chad won't all be together in college!

The movie got me to thinking about my high school days and then realizing that the girls will be there before we know it. I wish I could freeze time for a few years, but alas so is life.

pictures coming tomorrow...when I am not quite so tired

Katie was finally somewhat bruise/bugbite/scratch free to take some one year pictures. I am happy with how these turned out. My favorite is the last one.

Happy Birthday Sarah!

Sarah turned 8 today. Why does 8 sound so old? She is so excited to be 8 and I asked her why. She said, "Mom, I'm 8. That is a big age!" We had a great time celebrating her special day.

I took Sarah and Katie out on Tuesday for some pictures. Below are some of our favorite shots of Sarah. She is becoming such a beautiful eight year old.

Wannado City for Sarah's Birthday

This year we decided to visit Wannado City for Sarah's Birthday. We lucked out and were able to go on a Friday when Chandler and Holly were out of school. It was nice to go on a weekday when it isn't quite so busy. The kids love this place!
The last time we went was 1 1/2 years ago. E,S,C and H have grown up a lot since then. At that time they loved the Publix and we went to it 3 or 4 times. This time they tried it just one or two times. I think the favorites this time were the acting classes, theater, news reporter and crime investigator jobs.

Oh yes! The modeling was a big hit.

Ty admiring Chandler while waiting for the Modeling show to start.

For each job the kids earn Wongas. They can use the Wongas to ride rides, pay for the rock climbing wall, make jewelry, cook in the bakery, make a Chocolate bar or deposit them into the bank. The older kids shared their Wongas with Ty and Katie so they could ride the rides.

There was some fighting in the streets. The police need to step up their game.

The Animal Doctor was a new exhibit. The kids enjoyed it. The dog was very life like.

Katie is wishing they would let her in. She would love to help.
We took a break and went to Rainforest Cafe for Lunch. The atmosphere is so much fun.

We ordered the Lava Cake for Sarah. She was surprised and loved it!Wow! 8 years old! I can't believe my little Sarah is that old.

Birthday Party at Chuck E Cheese

We decided to have Ty's party at Chuck E Cheese. They just opened this summer and we enjoy going there so much! We figured this would be a great place to celebrate. Note to party planners: Take the group shot in the beginning. You can see that our younger participants were not to interested in the group photo. Some are crying, distracted by the bright lights, or not anywhere to be seen. Ty is raising his hand because I am raising mine. I was trying to get everyone's attention. I guess he thought I was waving.

Playing with Daddy. My dad likes the show Deal or No Deal, so Mark wanted to make sure he played the Electronic Version.

Here is the gang ready to eat.
Chandler is Ty's Boy. At least that is what Ty calls him. Chandler is great with Ty. He does the guy things like making funny faces. :)Ty had a transformer cake. He loved the cake topper.
He made some funny faces when we were singing to him.
He is trying so hard not to smile. I love his little smirk.
Some people get soooo messy. :)

Happy Birthday Ty! Mommy and Daddy love you!

When people asked what Ty would want for his birthday we told them Transformers or Geotrax and that is pretty much what he got. He was in toy heaven!

Grandma and Grandpa bought him the Geo Trax Grand Central Station. Several other people gave him additions for the set. As soon as we got home we put it together. We love Geo trax. We are already plotting for what we want next.
